Today is National Feral Cat Day!
Tuesday, October 16, 2012
To promote the importance of spaying and neutering feral cats, the Athens Regional Spay Neuter Center is offering $20 Feral Cat Packages this week! Call our Spay & Neuter Center at 706-769-9155. Alley Cat Allies created National Feral Cat Day ten years ago, and this year the Athens Area Humane Society is taking part in educating the community about trap-neuter-return (TNR) of feral cats. AAHS offers a feral cat package for $35 year-round, which includes the spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine and ear-tipping. To do our part in supporting National Feral Cat Day 2012, AAHS will offer its feral cat packages for only $20 from October 15-18! All feral cats must be brought in humane traps with only one cat per trap.
Dine Out
Thursday, June 28, 2012
This is from Georgia Shares, the workplace-giving organization that Campus Cats is a member of. The dine-out event is at El Taco - Atlanta (see web link below for location and other info), but I know some of you are in Atlanta or may love foodie road trips enough to check it out! If any of you from Athens want to do a road trip on the 28th, let me know and we'll coordinate a car-pool. Here's the info: We're just a little over three weeks away from our dine-out fundraising event. On Thursday, June 28th, between 5:00 and 10:00pm, please join us at El Taco - Atlanta. If we have a minimum of 50 guests, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Georgia Shares with much needed unrestricted dollars. These kinds of funds allow us to: • Do more workplace recruitment • Develop more publications • Welcome new member agencies • Attend more statewide events All of which allow us to raise more money for our member agencies! Please join us and tell your friends and colleagues! In fact, you can make reservations now and see the tantalizing menu at
http://www.eltaco-atlanta.com/secondary/reservations/reservations.htm. Make sure to mention GEORGIA SHARES!
