Sunday, November 19, at the UGA Tate Center in conjunction with the second annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Worship service. The service begins at 4:30 p.m., and the Market will follow from 5:30-7:30 p.m. For more than 20 years, Athens-area faith organizations have hosted the Holiday Benevolence Market, offering a single location to select gifts – in the form of donations -- that support non-profit organizations. Kind-hearted shoppers can select symbolic gifts ranging from $5 to $150 and make a single payment at checkout (cash, check, or Square). All donations are tax-deductible, and Campus Cats is one of the non-profits participating this year.

Campus Cats will have a table (and kittens!) at the Pet Expo this Saturday at the Classic Center in Athens. We could use help throughout the day from set up (9-9:30 AM) through break down (4 PM), and would love to have people just hang out at the table for part of the day with us. Come on everyone - Join us at Artini's on March 18th to paint a portrait of your favorite furry companion (or feral!) and drink wine & beer at the same time! Campus Cats will receive a donation of $10 for each person who attends. You do NOT need to know how to paint as art instructors will be on hand guiding us every step of the way! You do need to sign up by March 13th (and submit a photo of the pet you would like to paint) so everything will be ready on the 19th. Be that someone who solves the problem and helps so many in the process! If you are caring for feral/community cats in your yard or neighborhood, or want to learn how to help a friend/neighbor/relative get their cats trapped and spayed/neutered, then join Campus Cats for a free hands-on TNR workshop. When: Saturday February 25th from 2 - 5 PM Where: Athens Community Council on Aging 135 Hoyt St, Athens, GA 30601 The workshop is designed for people who are ready to trap and spay/neuter cats that are welcome back where they live and that have permanent caregivers, but who are a little unsure about the whole trapping part and are looking for guidance. One of GH's technicians, Cindy, won a 51" Samsung Plasma Display Panel HD television at a veterinary conference she attended, and has decided to raffle off the t.v. to benefit Campus Cats, Heifer International, Fur Kids Atlanta, Samaritans Purse, and Water Missions International. 5 - 8 PM Friday November 14th, Creature Comforts Brewery, 271 W. Hancock Ave, Athens, GA 30601. Campus Cats and 9 other local charities will be competing to see who has the best chili in Athens! Attendees will purchase a glass to sample beer, and a wristband which will allow them to sample the 10 chili varieties and vote for their favorite. $300 first place, $50 second, so come on out and eat and vote!
