CAMPUS CATS Program Goal: To humanely reduce the number of homeless cats on the UGA Campus through TNR (trapping, spay/neuter, rabies vax & other vet care, kitten adoption, and the lifelong care & feeding of any adult cats who need to be returned to their campus territories.)
We recognize the potential conflicts that feralcats can pose with regard to predation on wildlife and human health concerns (rabies), which is why we are actively and humanely doing something about it and not just ignoring the problem or attempting to solve it with methods that don't work.
For additional information about the Campus Cats Program or to report a cat or kitten seen on UGA's Campus, please e-mail Kelly Bettinger, Campus Cats Program Coordinator at: feralcatcaregivers@yahoo.com. SPECIAL NOTE: Never abandon a pet on campus or elsewhere - instead, give your pet a helping paw to find another good home. Take a picture, write a description , create a flyer and advertise it's need for a new home. Dumped cats & kittens do not do well...and it's also illegal...so please "do the right thing"!
